The deed is for 115 acres to David Hamilton from Miles H. Mays and wife Elizabeth P. Mays. and was executed 17 August 1842. The deed states that the 115 acres is the land on which Abraham Mays deceased, formerly resided and on which is widow Ellenor Mays now lives. Miles H. Mays purchased the respective interests in the 115 acres from the heirs and legatees of the Abraham Mays Estate. These were sons Elias P. Mays and Jesse O. Mays and the widow Ellenor Mays. Miles H. Mays married Elizabeth P. Mays in Maury Co. on Feb. 2, 1833. Elizabeth P. Mays was the daughter of Abraham Mays, deceased, and one of the heirs of the Estate.
