This Indenture made and entered into this ninth day of April in the year of our Lord Christ Eighteen Hundred and two Between William Lundy of Greensville County & State of Virginia of the one part, and Joshua Mayes of the said County and State of the other part. Witnesseth that the said William Lundy for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to him in (P. 141) hand Paid by the said Joshua Mayes the receipt whereof the said William Lundy doth hereby acknowledge
as full payment and satisfaction and doth by these presents bargain sell confirm enfeoff and grant unto the said Joshua Mayes his heirs and assigns forever, one certain tract or parcel of Land lying and being situated in the County aforesaid containing by late survey fifty seven more or less and bounded as follows to wit. Beginning at a pine a corner to Isham Lundy deceased and Donaldson Turner formerly said William Lundys line from thence along said Turners line South fiftv nine degrees West twenty one and a half pole south fifty two degrees West Twelve poles, south fifty eight degrees West ten poles South fifty four Degrees West Eleven pole, South forty four Degrees West Fourteen pole to an ash an elbow to said Turner (?) South Eighty four degrees West fifteen poles, South Eighty Degrees West Sixteen pole, South Seventy Nine Degrees West seven and a half pole to a large pine a corner to said Turner and Mayes, from thence along said Mayes line South fifty eight degrees East one Hundred and forty six pole to a pine an elbow to said Mayes, from thence South Eighty nine degrees East Eight pole, South eighty (?) four Degrees East sixteen pole, North Ninety Degrees East thirty five (?) pole to three pines hoped inwards a corner to said Mayes and Matthew Mayes deceased and Isham Lundy deceased from thence along said Lundy's line North fifty one (?) Degrees West Eleven and a half pole North fifty seven Degrees West fourteen pole, North seventy nine and a half Degrees West Eleven and a half pole to a large red oak an elbow to said Lundy, from thence along the said line North Fourteen Degrees
