Henry Mayes to Sherrod Mayes

 5 Dec 1795; Grainger Co., Tennessee; 19 Oct 1811. I Samuel Puny Registir of said county by my Deputy Sterling Cocke do certify the within and forgoing Deed of Conveyance & certificate of probate to be duly recorded in the registirs office of said county in book C pages 36 & 37. This Indenture made the fifth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred five between Henry Mayze of the county of Hawkins in the ceded Territory South of the river Ohio of the one part and Sherod Mayze of the county and State 
aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Henry Mayze for and in consideration of the sum of twenty pounds to him paid in hand the receip wherof is hereby acknowledged hath and by there presents doth grant, Bargan sin sell, assign, enforss and confirm unto the said Sherod Mayze his heirs and asigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres be the same more or less lying and being in the county of Hawkins on the south side of the Holston River Bank running south one hundred and 26 poles to a black
oak, Then South forty five degrees, West one hundred and twenty six poles, to a Spanish oak, Then north Seven Degrees, West to a black tree on the river Bank then up the meandering of the river to the beginning with all and singulars the woods, Warers, Water courses, profits, Commodoties, heridiments and appurtenances whatsoever to the said tract of land belonging or appertaining and the Revision & Reversions Remainder & and Remainders Rent Isues thereof and all the estate, Right, Title, Interest Property claim and demand of him the
said Henry Mayse his heirs & c of in and to the same and every part and parcel there of either in Law or Equity to have and to hold the said one hundred acres of Land with the appertances unto the said Sherod Mayze his heirs and assign forever and the said Henry Mayes for himself and his heirs the aforesaid tract of Land and Premises with appertances unto the said Sherod Mayze his heirs and assignes against the Lawful title claim and demand of all and every person & persons whatsoever shall & will warrant and forever defend by these presents In witness whereof the said Henry Mayze had here unto sett his hand seal the day and year first above written signed sealed and Delivered in the presence of Henry (X) Haurl, Francis (X) Daniel, Signed and sealed Henry (X) Mayze.
