DEED: 9 Dec 1771;Mechlenburg Co., VA; This Indenture made this ninth day of December one Thousand Seven hundred and Seventy one Between Henry Mays of Mechlenburg County of the One part and Joseph Dailey of Chesterfield County of the Other part Witnesseth that the said Henry Mays for and in consideration of the sum of Eighty pounds Current Money of Virginia Whom in hand paid by the said Joseph Dailey the ---------- whereof he doth here by acknowledge hath bargained sold and Delivered and Conveyed and by those present doth grant bargain sell alien convey and confirm unto the said Joseph Dailey his Heirs Executors Administrators and agency one Certain track or parcel of land situated on the south side of Jonitoe Creek in the County om Mecklenburg on the waters of Jonitoe Creek containing by estimation two hundred and seventy five acres by the same more or less bounded as followeth towirt: Beginning at a red Oake a corner tree on Edward Epps Line near the head of Great Creek Running a North Cours to a Corner --- Gum on Jonetoe Creek on Drury Nolones line from thence up the said creek as it wonders to a corner persimmon tree on the head of Jonitoe and from thence a south East corse to Epps line from hence a north East Course along the said line crossing Great Creek to the beginning. NB that Jonetoe Creek is to be the Dividing line between James Stainly?? and Joseph Dailey Together with all Gardens Orchard ways woods under woods warters warter Courses prosith heredelamenh and all the appertenancs to the same appertaincens or on any ----- belonging to.
Henry Mays for myself my Heirs Executives Administrators and assign thje above land with all and every of its appenturances afore said unto the said Joseph Dailey his Hiers and assigns against me the said one the said Henry Mays my Heirs or assigns and against the Claim or Claims of All snd Every Other persons or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant an forever -----in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the da and year above mentioned.
