This Indenture made this 8th day of October 1806 by and between Abraham Mays of the County of Henry and state of Virginia of one part and Thomas Smith of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Abraham Mays and Eleanor his wife for and in consideration of the sum of $200 to them in hand paid the receipt whereof they acknowledge hath bargained sold and delivered unto the said Thomas Smith his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Henry on the South Branch of Marribone Creek containing 100 Ac. be the same more or less adjoining the sd Thomas Jamison, George Hariston and Wm Jenkins and Goodwin Nays and is thus bounded to wit:
Bounded Beginning at a corner black Gum in Jamisons line Thence South 65’ East 104 poles to a white oak in Lumpkinses Ordis ( ? ) line. Thence along the same South 44’ East 40 poles crossing a branch to a Red Oak. Thence South 82’ West 130 crossing a branch to a chestnut tree. Thence a conditional new line North East course to a conditional corner white oak at the head of a Hollow to the head of a Branch. Thence down the branch as it meanders to the first station. The Reversion and Reversions, Remainder, and Remainders, rights & Estate Interest and benefits, Claims & demands whatsoever of the Sd Abraham Mays and wife Elenor of in or to the same or any part thereof to have & to hold the said Tract or parcel of land with this and every of this appurtenances to the only use & behoof of him the said Thomas Smith his heirs and assigns forever & the Sd Abraham Mays & Elenor his wife doth hereby for themselves and their Heirs warrant & Defend the same forever from the Claims or title of any person or persons what so ever. In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands & affixed our Seals the day & year above written. Abraham (his mark) Mays and Elnor (her mark) Mays.

At a Court of Quarterly Sessions held for Henry Co. on 27 day April 1807, The within written Indenture was proved by Oaths of the witnesses thereto to be their Act & Deed of this within named Abraham Mays & the same was ordered by the Court to be recorded.
