My father was Maxwell Louis Bushong, born 7/03/1911 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He died 12/25/1989 in Des Moines, Iowa, and is buried in Woodland Cemetery, Jasper Co., Iowa. He married Pearl Alice Busselle, 5/12/1934, in Iowa, and she is still living.
My grandmother was Mary Amanda Trease, born 1876 in Iowa, she died 1937 in Iowa. She married Albert Bradford Bushong 2/10/1897 in Newton, Jasper Co., Iowa. He was born 8/09/1870 in Iowa, and died 12/03/1925 in Iowa. Both are buried in Woodland Cemetery, Jasper Co., Iowa.
Her father was Louis Jefferson Trease, born 9/1837 in Tennessee, he died 1916 in Jasper Co., Iowa. He married Susan Ann Matthews, 2/21/1867 in Jasper Co., Iowa. She was born 2/14/1845 in Morgan Co., IL, and died 4/03/1925 in Oskaloosa. Both are buried in Woodland Cemetery, Jasper Co., Iowa.
His father was Joshua Madison Trease, who was born 4/02/1810 in NC, and died 3/13/1874 in Jasper Co., Iowa. He married Nancy Mayes, date unknown, in Tennessee. She was born 1/07/1813 in Claiborne Co., Tennessee, and died after 1874 in probably Jasper Co., Iowa. He is buried in Swan Cemetery, Jasper Co., Iowa. Her gravesite is unknown.
Her father was Thomas Daux? Mayes, born 1774 in Pittsylvania, Virginia. He died 5/26/1846 in Claiborne Co., Tennessee. He married Elizabeth Bridges, 10/11/1799 in Grainger Co., Tennesse. She was born about 1785 in Rutledge, Tennessee, and died 4/16/1852 in Claiborne Co., Tennessee.
His father was Sherrod (Sherwood) Mayes, who was born about 1751 in Virginia and died 1834. He married Elizabeth Daux? "Betsy" Smith on 11/25/1773.
His father was Henry Mayes who was born about 1725 in probably Brunswick Co., Virginia, and died 1787. He married Phebe (Phebey, Phoebe).
