Know all men by these presents that we the undersigned Thomas Bridges and Patsey Bridges his wife formerly Patsey Mays, Ervin Perry and Elizabeth Perry his wife formerly Elizabeth Bridges, Asaph Webb and Polly Webb formerly Polly Bridges, John Perry and his wife Pamelia, formerly Pamelia Bridges for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred dollars to Thomas Bridges in hand paid have and do hereby relinquish to Jonathan Mays of Claiborne County in the State of Tennessee, all the right title claim interest and demand that we or either of us have in and to the Estate of Sherwood Mays and his wife Elizabeth Mays, or that we may be entitled upon the death of said Sherwood and Elizabeth or either of them by conveying to him particularly all the right title claim interest and demand that we may have or now have of in and to the Estate of Thomas Smith and his wife, decending by will or otherwise, to said Sherwood Mays and his wife Elizabeth and through them to us and we do hereby authorize the said Jonathan to use our names in any manner, to recover any Estate that id now or may hereafter be due to us as aforesaid, but it is expressly understood, that we are in no event to be liable to said Mays, And the said Thomas Bridges doth covenant, & agree to and with the said Jonathan Mays that he will cause Selta Bridges his ungest daughter to convey to said Jonathan Mays all her right claim interest and demand of in and to said Estate to said Jonathan Mays, when she shall become of age.

Johnson clerk of the County Court of Claiborne, County, john Vance with whom I am personally acquainted and who after being sworn depose and say that he was present and heard Thos Bridges, Patsy Bridges, Erwin Pery, Asaph Web, Polly Web, John Perry, Paemilia Perry & Elizabeth Perry, acknowledge, the Execution of the above attached deed of Relinquiahment for the purposes there in contained upon the above day it bears date.
