A paper proporting the last will and testament of Sherod Mayes Decd was this
day exhibited in open court by Levi Satterfield and Joseph Daniel the Executors
therein names and the subscribing witnesses not being present it is ordered by
the Court that a Subpoena issued commanding themk to appear at thew next term
of this Court to prove the same that said will filed.

be issued for Joshua Kidwell in Hamilton
County in this state to appear at the next term of this court to prove
the last will and testament of Sherod Mayes decd.

A paper proporting to be the last will
ant testament of Shurad Mays was proven by the oath of Joshua Kidwell a
subscribing witness there to who being sworn en poses and says that he saw the
said Shurad Mays sign said and acknowledge the same as his last will and
testament upon the day it bares date and that at the time of enquiry the same he was of sound and disposing mind
and memory and he further says that he is acquainted with Elijah Sims the other
subscribing witness there to and that he saw him attest the same in the presence
of the said Shurad Mays which witness is ordered to be recorded. Levi
Satterfield and Joseph Daniel the executors mentioned in said will take upon
themselves the execution thereof and entered into bond according to law.

The commissioners who were appointed
at the last term of this Court to make Settlement with Levi Satterfield and
Joseph Daniels Executors of the Estate of Sherod Mayes Decd. Make their report
to the court which was approved and ordered to be recorded and the said
Commissioners George Moody, M.N. Jeffries and James Lacy be each allowed the
sum of one dollar per day for their service in settling with said Executors one
day each.

Settlement – Pursuant to the above
names ordered to us directed from the County Court of Grainger County Tennessee
we have Proceeded and Settled the account of the Estate of Sherod Mayes
deceased with Levi Satterfield and Joseph Daniel executors of Sherod Mayes decd
as far and as well as we wear able from the papers furnished us and report as
follows: In the first place we have charged the executors with the amount of
sale arising from the sale of the property sold of the Estate which you will
find in the act. Marked Amounting to seventy one dollars sixty two and one half
cents. We then credited the above executors with forty eight dollars eighty two
and one half cents which they are entitled
to from the paper exhibited to us which you will find in above account
marked B. Altho two of the papers exhibited are not legal vouchers for said
executors as yet, we are satisfied that the money was actually paid by them
which may be rendered by Robert Cardwell and Joshua Kidwell receipting on the
back of their claims therefore recommending the court to allow the Creditors as
they are charged which will leave a balance in the hands of the executors of
twenty one dollars and ninety cents due to the Estate. All of which we respectfully
